When founder “Mr. DM” arrived in North Carolina, he discovered amazing food everywhere — except the smoky, spice-rich street flavors of his Sri Lankan childhood. So he decided to recreate them himself.
What started as weekend meals for friends soon became a fully equipped food truck featuring a real wood grill and flat-top, bringing the unmistakable char and flavor of island street stalls to every plate.
Now, Mr. DM Grill-n-Chill travels across Durham serving rice bowls, kottu, wraps, and curry burgers — and catering events where guests gather around the truck like a lively block party.
